The Dharma Pitha

At the beginning of the 90s, Sri Tathata received from the Divine the request to build a temple intended to give to mankind the necessary energy to accomplish its transformation according to the Will of Time.
After a search process for the most suitable location, Kollur, a small town in Karnataka, was chosen. Numerous pilgrims are already drawn to Kollur by the Mookambika temple dedicated to the three aspects of the Divine Mother. This temple was erected by the great monk and philosopher Shankaracharya on an ancient place of worship, after he had performed tapasya to the Divine Mother.

The Dharma Pitha was recently opened to the public. It is a special temple, not only because of the beauty of its surroundings and Kollur’s already highly spiritual character, but also because it is consecrated to the DIVINE LIGHT, the pure Presence. So anyone is welcome to pray and meditate there, whatever his or her preferred form of the Divine, whether a deity, a prophet, or the Universal Divine Presence.

The qualities of universality and purity of the Dharma Pitha are also evident in its construction. The architect, an inspired Indian woman, combined in the Dharma Pitha the sacred knowledge of both East and West. The major part of the temple has been built by hand, by men and women of profound devotion.

The Consecration of the Dharma Pitha took place on July 6th, 2006, and was a significant historical event. A Divine energy, new to the earth, descended in the central stone, according to Sri Tathata’s prayers, after the performance of numerous rituals. At that same moment, a large number of people were gathered in several places throughout India, Europe and America to pray and meditate, and many had beautiful experiences.

The energy radiated by the Dharma Pitha is such that the people praying and meditating there can experience the divine presence in a unique manner. Absorbing this light and power through spiritual practice and meditation in the Dharma Pitha is a powerful aid in personal transformation on the path towards the divine life.
